I will be analysing the Timbaland ft. OneRepublic version. OneRepublic is an American, Pop Rock, Alternative Rock band.

Pop rock which mixes a catchy pop style, of light lyrics, in it's guitar based rock music songs. Ranging from a slower and mellower form of rock music into a subgenre of pop music. Pop rock has been described as an "upbeat variety of rock music represented by artists such as Elton John, Paul McCartney, The Everly Brothers, Rod Stewart and Chicago. Pop rock origins from UK and the US from the 1960s.
1970s: including artists such as The Jackson 5, Elton John and Billy Joel.
1980s: Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Phil Collins.
1990s: Ace Of Base, Robbie Williams, Morissette, Shakira, No Doubt, and Hanson.
2000s: Avril Lavigne, Pink, Busted, Kelly Clarkson, McFly, Paramore, Maroon 5 and OneRepublic.

Alternative rock aka alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative. Alternative rock consists of various subgenre that have emerged from the independent music scene since 1980s. Such as Grunge, Britpop, Gothic Rock and Indie Pop. Bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Oasis, Muse, The Strokes, The White Stripes and The Killers.
Their first achieved chart success with their first single, "Apologize". A remix of "Apologize" was featured on the Timbaland album, Shock Balue. The remix version was a massive hit internationally, reaching number-one in sixteen countries and bringing OneRepublic international fame.

This music video was produced by the Mosley Music Group, a record label created by producer Tim "Timbaland" Mosley. It operates as an imprint of, and distributed through, Universal Music Group's Interscope Records. Mosley Music Group was founded in 2006. The original "Apologize" music video was produced in the same year, the Timbaland official version was filmed in September 2007 and released in early October. Timbaland is shown on the music video, remixing the song while the camera circles OneRepublic as they perform.
